• In the U.S., there are 26,000 second and third trimester stillbirths each year. That's 70 moms giving birth to stillborns each day.

Despite these alarming figures, the awareness of SIDS is greater than that of stillbirth. The "Back to Sleep" campaign, which promotes public awareness of placing babies on their back during sleep, is credited for a decreased SIDS rate by more than 50% over the last decade.

It is about time and essential that we discuss stillbirth prevention. It is the goal of the BabyKick Alliance to be part of the international effort to achieve the same level of public awareness as the SIDS campaign thus resulting in a significant drop in the stillbirth rate.
